I'm the Program Manager for a small admissions ticketing software company and a professional playwright. I pursue both the careers of a playwright and an IT Project/Program Manager separately. At the same time, I cross-pollinate my areas of expertise to the benefit of both. My playwriting background brings compelling narratives to IT projects that might otherwise lose their meaning. My IT project management skillset helps me navigate the uncertainties of the playwriting process. Meanwhile, I keep both sides of my brain fresh and engaged.
At Titan Technology Group, I oversee our software deployment, compliance, and software development projects. My accomplishments include managing three client-facing dedicated development projects, including a partially complete major eCommerce initiative. I have also managed several enterprise software deployments/migrations. For smaller deployment projects, I have devised a lightweight management framework, empowering non-Project Manager "Site Captains" to plan, execute, and control smaller projects effectively. I've initiated a robust security and compliance policy to attain and maintain PCI PA-DSS compliance of a massive software suite compiled of 1.7 million lines of code. I've converted our software project management from unmanaged to fully agile, in the Scrum mold. I've led the strategic redirection of the company's major intiatives, aligning initiatives with measurable strategic objectives and organization-wide resource management. I've stepped in as deal closer for the company's highest priority sales prospects.
Prior to working at Titan Technology Group, I was on the organizational team founding the retail bank CheckSpring in the South Bronx of New York. As one of the five principal founding team members, I designed an implemented the entire bank hardware, network, software, and security infra- and exostructure from scratch. The 4-year project portfolio included core bank software deployment, in-house item processing systems, ahead-of-its-time teller item capture, ATMs, data center, virtualization, MPLS-based scalable network design, physical security, loan origination and processing, anti-money laundering systems, and FFIEC compliance.
My earlier work experience includes Project Management consulting contracts at Morgan Stanley and Prudential Securities, working as an animator for the television show Kablam! on Nickelodeon, working at Austin-based multimedia startup Digital Arts, Inc., stints as a software compatability tester for CPU-design house Centaur Technologies (owned by Via), and Project Coordinator at AT&T Wireless.
